Featured Item Panel Animation Opt-Out

The Featured Item Panel and Featured Item Panel Expanded components now include the ability to opt out of the Fade-In animation used on the contents of the panels. The default behavior of these components has not changed, but if the user unchecks the "Fade In" checkbox in the component, the animation will not be used on that instance of the component when it is published.

This might be ideal for content which is expected to be in view when the page loads, so the user won't be treated to a mostly-empty page before scrolling enough to trigger the animation.

Change Note

Please note that the existing behavior has changed for the Featured Item Panel component. Due to the way the component was originally implemented, the animation has been disabled on all existing instances of the component, though it will be enabled if the page which contains it is republished.

Action Required

To gain access to the "Fade In" checkbox, any existing content using these two components will need to be moved to a new instance of the component.
